First up, a little history lesson... The first ever Hospitality event took place at Herbal way back in 2001. After five years of monthly shindigs at the East end sweatbox, Hospitality took the giant leap to super club Heaven for quarterly parties, which instantly became the stuff of legend. With Hospital Records artists like High Contrast, London Elektricity, Danny Byrd and Cyantific the stars of the show, and playing host to special guests such as Andy C, Fabio & Grooverider, DJ Marky, Noisia, Teebee and Calyx, Hospitality at Heaven revolutionised and revived drum & bass in the capital. Matter at the O2 Arena became the new Hospitality home in 2008 and after nine completely sold out parties at the Greenwich institution it was time to move on again! 2010 marked the beginning of a new era for the London event, as Hospitality took over the O2 Academy in Brixton, where they still to this day showcase spectacular line ups.
Hospital Records celebrate their 18th birthday next year, so in honour of this milestone they'll be taking an emotional trip down memory lane by revisiting iconic venues across London that have helped to make the label, brand and of course the parties that they are today.
Friday 7th February sees Hospitality head to Building Six (previously the famous Matter nightclub of the 02 Arena). The best club in the world, according to London Elektricity during their famed Matter residency, Hospital Records are excited to return to this world class venue, and of course will be bringing a world class lineup – yet to be announced.
A few months later on May 4th the folk at Hospitality will be stepping even further back into the history books for a one-off spectacular at their beloved Heaven – a maze of dancefloors, bars and sound systems located under the arches of Charing Cross station in the heart of central London, a nightclub engraved on the heart of British rave culture. Lineup yet to be announced. Check out the video below from the Hospital Records vaults for a taster of the Hospitality Heaven days...
