Singer, songwriter, producer, heartfelt crooner and all around unique talent, James Blake embarks on a stretch of UK tour dates this winter off the back of a number of festival appearances this summer. Second to last stop on the tour, Wednesday November 3rd will see James Blake bringing his live show to the O2 Academy Leeds.
Armed with the ability to pull at the heartstrings through a deadly concoction of delicate synths and lugubrious vocals, Blake has found himself regarded as one of the UK’s latest musical prodigies. 3 albums down the line and the Englishmen has shown no signs of slowing down when it comes to venturing into new found depths of electronic music, with his most recent effort Colour In Anything once more combining fervent song writing and a studios production quality. Having emerged towards the back end of the dubstep age, James Blake’s breakthrough came via the sub heavy Limit To Your Love. The track built on elements of the genre, packaging them in a new and refined way that enabling his music to become accessible to a new crossover audience.
Away from the studio, James Blake’s live show acts as an eye opener to the emotion poured into his lyrics and instrumentation as each live piano note is as sombre drenched as the vocal delivery. Expect to be blown away when the man himself comes to the O2 Academy Leeds November 2nd.
