2013 saw Circus step things up adding an Ibiza residency, a London residency and a string of successful releases on Circus Recordings (most noticeably of course, the ubiquitous Bigger Than Prince) to the ever impressive set of Liverpool parties – this year held across the city's East Village Arts Club and Camp & Furnace.
Thursdays in Ibiza saw Yousef present the Circus band to Ibiza at the island's newest club, Booom! With the help of huge electronic artists including Doc Martin, Booka Shade, Danny Tenaglia, Scuba and more Circus cemented themselves on the island as one of the best upstarters of 2013. Back in the UK their Liverpool and London parties went from strength to strength, and now reach their climax with a New Years Day lineup to rival any.
Hot Creations boss Jamie Jones heads up the bill off the back of another inclusion in Resident Advisor's Top 100 DJs poll. With Hot Natured's live show continuing to tour the world, one of the busiest DJ calendars on the scene and a brand new release on his very own Hot Creations label (Planets, Spaceships) Jamie is as hot as ever.
Detroit legend and techno pioneer Carl Craig will also be bringing in the new years in Liverpool. As relevant as ever, Carl continues to push the boundaries of electronic music quite like no one else can and with releases this year on the likes of Third Ear Recordings, DFA Recordings, and Ibadan – just to name three – thankfully there seems to be no end in sight.
Finishing off the lineup are Made To Play boss Jesse Rose, straight ahead house newcomers Detroit Swindle and of course the trusted Circus residents.
In light of the recent Circus Boxing Night sell out, tickets for this show are expected to sell out long in advance.
