Now the dust has settled from Digital Society’s high-octane day out at Mint Festival back in September, the team are back in Leeds in November to get things going once more. After the outing at Lincolnshire Showground that saw Paul Van Dyk headline a superb day of music with the likes of Lange, Photoculture and John 00 Fleming playing live in the DS arena, standards are high for what is in store next, but trust in Digital Society, for on the 7th of November they present John O’Callaghan’s Subculture label showcase at the O2 Academy Leeds.
As their spiritual home that has seen a huge number of trance’s biggest names through it’s doors, The O2 Academy will be playing host to Subculture’s label boss John O’Callaghan as the headliner of the night, John’s classic tracks like ‘Big Sky’ have cemented him as a veteran in the genre’s scene and since that single he has released three studio albums and a number of mixes that include his annual Subculture mixes, featuring the best of the labels talent.
Joining John O’Callaghan will be a selection of artists who have, or will be appearing on Subculture in the future, with the first guest being Simon Patterson, followed by John Askew and Bryan Kearney. These guys are all tried and tested heavyweights, with Kearney’s ‘Next Level’ and Askew’s ‘Plush’ being two great singles Subculture have put out this year through John’s Top 10 Charts. Also appearing will be Sneidjer, Mark Sherry and Will Atkinson as well as Chris Metcalfe and James Rigby.
With a line up stretching over both of the O2 Academy’s rooms, this will be an ecstatic all night long ride with plenty of thumping beats and euphoric climaxes to help see you through to the end.
