Tribal Sessions began as one of Manchester’s most popular clubbing events at Sankeys Soap, Tribal Gathering. Having re-launched last year at both Sankeys’ Ibiza and Manchester venues, Tribal Sessions has taken the White Isle and the UK by storm once again with its inimitable line-ups combining cutting edge house with legends of the techno underground.
After a season in Ibiza that saw the likes of Argy, SIS, KiNK, Alan Fitzpatrick, Len Faki, Levon Vincent, Josh Wink, DVS1, Cuartero, Secondcity and Robert Hood playing across the Basement and LAB, Tribal Sessions has moved back to the UK to pastures new at one of London’s most notorious clubbing destinations, Fire. Tribal Sessions’ Friday residency at Fire in London will begin on the 9th of October after the final party at Sankeys Ibiza during the last week in September.
The launch party in itself will be inviting some hugely exciting guests over, with a headline appearance from one of techno’s founding fathers, Juan Atkins. Juan innovated the techno sound with fellow Detroit native Derrick May, moulding together the sounds of the 909 and the 808 to produce music like no one had ever heard before. Also the owner of the Metroplex label, Juan released many records from himself, usually under the moniker Model 500 as well as many others who adopted this revolutionary sound. Also on the line up will be the Israeli techno stalwart Shlomi Aber, who is the owner of the Be As On Imprint, one of today’s most exciting techno record labels. Finally we have Redshape and Blue Hour, not to mention long standing Tribal Sessions resident Jozef K.
During the following weeks there will be appearances from Booka Shade, Phil Weeks, DJ Pierre, Dark Sky, The Revenge, Re.You, Argy and many more, with the bulk of line ups leading to the final party of the season on December 18th still unannounced.
