Jungle Jam has been the kingpin of junglist parties in Leeds for a number of years. With regular events taking place all over the city and their larger multi room parties holding home at Mint Warehouse on select weekends throughout the year, they are no doubt one of the staple jungle and D&B parties in the North.
On Friday May 27th, Jungle Jam with return to Mint Warehouse with one of their biggest line-ups ever. Spread over the expanse of the clubs three rooms and central courtyard, this will see a long line of legends, fresh talent and a tasty Caribbean BBQ gather for twelve hours of eats and beats. Throughout the day, Mint Warehouse’s terrace will be serving quality home cooked Caribbean food straight from the BBQ whilst dub, reggae and dancehall echoes around the outside area. After the sunsets, the party will move inside to make was for a proper tear out with so many of the genre’s best selectors set to perform.
Playing at the Jungle Jam Summer Carnival this year will be the legend that is Congo Natty. General Levy and David Boomah will both be performing live and there will be plenty of jungle and D&B sounds from the likes of Benny Page, Serial Killaz, Commix, Skibadee and Vital Techniques. The Dub Smugglers will command the courtyard takeover and there will also be a Second To None Takeover, spearheaded by Mr V. Also performing will be the likes of Congo Dubz, Phoebe Irondread, Mikey B, MC Peak, MC Jordache, Northern Scum, DJ Shock, Luke EP, Loz Contreras and much more.
Expect tasty food including jerk chicken, festival décor and live art, free horns and whistles and merchandise stalls selling all the carnival gear you could ever need. There are less than 100 tickets left for this, so don’t hang about.
