Hip-Hop duo Krept & Konan have announced a string of shows that will be taking place throughout November in some of the most iconic and popular music venues in the UK.
Krept & Konan hail from South London, first rapping individually and as part of the hip-hop collective Gipset, which was in action during the final years of the naughties. The duo released their first mix tapes as Krept & Konan in 2010, with the second mix Tsunami featuring the likes of Wretch 32, Giggs, Scorcher and Ghetts.
After releasing internet covers of Drake & Lil’ Wayne (The Motto) and Kanye West & Jay-Z (Otis) on YouTube, Krept & Konan released their third mixtape Young Kingz, which featured more popular mainstream artists including Tinie Tempah and George The Poet. The mix won a world record for becoming the highest charting album by an unsigned UK artist, with the lead single Don’t Waste My Time, gaining huge support from the grim scene, also being remixes by MNEK, Lady Leshurr and French Montana.
Touring with Skepta, a record deal with Virgin EMI and awards for Best International Act and Best Newcomer have been the tip of the iceberg this year for Krept & Konan, with their first two singles of the year, which features Rick Ross and Jeremih, gaining huge support from their peers.
The UK tour will be stopping in London, Manchester, Sheffield, Brighton, Birmingham and Bristol, with Freak Of The Week and Certified being amongst a number of new singles that will be appearing alongside all the favourites from the past 4 years.
