Arcadia London will have ten years under its belt when the Olympic Park weekender comes around in May, and a suitably vast lineup has been arranged to celebrate. Kicking off on Saturday 5th May, Leftfield will take centre stage with a performance including hits from their Leftism & Rhythm and Stealth albums, and they’ll be taking to Arcadia’s famous Spider as it returns from a world tour that stretches as far as Miami, Bangkok, Perth and Taipei.
Arcadia’s immersive construction puts 50 foot fireballs, multi million volt lightning bolts and robotic creatures usually reserved for films right before your eyes, as spectacular a sight as you’re likely to see at any dance music outing. Offering the second day over to RAM Records, a body rattling low end is likely to test its mettle as some of the biggest stars of drum and bass take the controls of the elaborate musical hub. A pioneering force in the genre for a quarter of a century, the label has seen releases by most of the stars of drum and bass that we know today, including label founder Andy C. Following on from the mesmerising first day with Leftfield, the RAM takeover will add a new level of power to the Olympic Park spectacle.
