Bestival returns to Lulworth Castle and promises a spectacular line up over the September weekend. After a celebrated second album release and more recently a spell bounding set at Glastonbury, the ambient and ethereal sound of The XX will grace the Castle Stage on the Friday this year. With the band’s festival debut being at Bestival seven years previous, it’s bound to be a special affair.
Main support coming from fellow festival favourites Little Dragon and over the weekend performances from Rag’N’Bone Man, Jamie T, Blossoms, Lucy Rose, DJ sets from Annie Mac and Slaves plus so much more.
Saturday night headliners are hip hop heroes A Tribe Called Quest. They’ll be coming across the pond to offer Bestival live versions from their extensive back catalogue spanning over three decades. Other hip hop and grime artists such as Dizzee Rascal, Loyle Carner, Danny Brown, Nadia Rose and Stefflon Don will also be spitting bars over the course of the weekend.
The Sunday headline slot is filled by one of the most volatile pop bands of this century as Pet Shop Boys offer their glittering synth to close this year’s Bestival. The duo’s 40 year career included timeless hits such as “West End Girls”, “Always on my Mind” and “Go West” which promises sing alongs and dancing from their audience.
Bestival takes place in Lulworth Castle in dorset across the dates of Thursday 7th until Monday 11th September.
