New London venue Printworks will be hosting a particularly special party on Friday 7th April, with special guest Superpoze in town to support house maestros Booka Shade launch their latest album. Titled Galvany Street, the album will be their 6th studio album, and a prompt follow up to last year’s Movements 10, a reissue which celebrated the ten year anniversary of their hit album.
Made up of ten tracks, Galvany Street is seen as a departure from the group’s recognisable brand of tech house, offering strong odes to their early-90s pop roots, the album features vocals from Craig Walker of prog-rock band Archive, as well as production assistance from members of GusGus and Kraftwerk. Released on Booka Shade’s own label, Blaufield Music, the album will drop on the same day as their Printworks fixture, and ought to be a special occasion for fans new and old.
