Having previously collaborated on track ‘Good Time’ on Common Sense, the debut album of J Hus that claimed the act worldwide recognition as well as multiple award wins, the favour is returned as Burna Boy’s new track ‘Sekkle Down’ features none other than Mr Ugly himself. Slowed down afrobeat style rhythms are met with fast-paced lyrical loops for a sultry serving of a genre merge that Burna Boy refers to himself as afrofusion. With elements of dancehall and hip hop, the single produced by JAE5 - the brains behind the entirety of J Hus’ Common Sense album - is a taste of what can happen when two of the hottest afrobeat acts collab.
