Hip hop fans, rejoice! Danny Brown is working on a new album.
Following up last year’s Atrocity Exhibition, which earned him a reputation as an oddball genius with lionheart bravery, the Detroit wordsmith has enlisted the help of a mysterious “legendary” hip-hop producer for album number five, which could seems likely to come out next year. Dropping the news into a recent interview with Complex, the rapper was keeping his cards close to his chest, insisting that he “can’t really talk too much about it [but] it’s going to be a big deal”.
An exciting few weeks for Brown will see him unveil his documentary Live At The Majestic on Tuesday 7th November, before joining Run The Jewels on stage at O2 Academy Leeds on Wednesday 15th November. Tickets for the latter are still on sale, but get them quick (really doe).
