There’s never a shortage of carnival atmosphere in London on August Bank Holiday Monday, nonetheless House Of Common will see that it increases tenfold when bringing the full force of their RamJam stage to Clapham Common on the 28th August.
Headed up by the one and only David ‘RamJam’ Rodigan, the sound-clash king and broadcaster will have his musical intellect matched by fellow record scholar Norman Jay, who also features on the bill. Dawn Penn, one of the most inimitable voices in reggae, and Dennis Bovell ensure there will be no shortage of West Indian flavour in the air, while London MC General Levy lends his whirlwind vocal talents to the day’s proceedings.
Radio 1 DJ Toddla T bolsters the RamJam lineup with his eclectic record bag, with grime new comer Nadia Rose and UK soundsystem favourites Mungo’s HiFi rounding off the bill.
House Of Common 2017 will also see the likes of Madness, De La Soul and Craig Charles appearing throughout the day at Clapham Common.
