Forty years is a landmark in the music industry by most people’s standards, and so it’s to be expected that David Rodigan will be in the party mood as he sets off on his 40th anniversary DJ tour. Stopping off in Bristol’s Motion alongside The Blast on Friday 26th January, Rodigan will play for two hours on a night that boasts some of the biggest artists in reggae roots and dub music.
A lineup to make you look twice, Rodigan has enlisted the likes of Roots Manuva and Mike Skinner to support, with a special three way back to back between “Jungle Warriors” Kenny Ken, Potential Badboy and Remarc assisted by The Ragga Twins. A dubplate set from Chimpo and a room 2 at the hands of Pinch, Egoless, Benny L and Dazee add extra weight to the celebration of a career spanning 1978-2018.
