Drum and bass has proven prosperous in Leeds for some time now, and for the last half a decade Wire’s Overflow has certainly played a significant part. Celebrating 5 Years of the club night with a three part series, they’ve booked in an impressive cast including Emperor, Kasra, Lenzman and SP:MC, with parties falling on Friday 2nd February, Friday 2nd March and Friday 27th April.
Critical Sound are first to join in with the festivities, offering Emperor, Kasra, QZB and more on Friday 2nd February for the first instalment, and it’ll be a raucous affair if previous collaborations are anything to go by. Having presented the label before in both 2013 and 2015, Overflow know what they’re doing when they send out the invites to Critical Sound’s head honchos, and they’ll be delighted to go back in alongside some of their favourite selectors.
March ushers in Amsterdam label The North Quarter for the second part, with label boss Lenzman topping the bill ahead of FD, Redeyes and Loz Contreras. Formed in 2016, The North Quarter hasn’t taken long to catch the attention, and Overflow will be delighted to have snared them for Wire. Following it up with an April visit from Symmetry Recordings, led by Break, Jubei and SP:MC, Overflow have gone all in as they look back on five years of drum and bass excellence.
