Not even pausing for breath after unveiling a thumping lineup of techno acts, EXIT Festival have followed up last week’s announcement by adding Ziggy Marley, Alice Merton, Idles, Slaves and more to the bill for the Novi Sad festival.
EXIT Festival is by now well known for its picturesque setting, friendly vibes and eclectic music policy, so the addition of reggae royal Ziggy Marley and rock phenomenon Alice Merton to a lineup prior dominated by techno stars Richie Hawtin, Ben Klock and Adam Beyer isn’t as big a curveball as it sounds. With house hitmakers Jax Jones, Ofenbach and more also joining, there’s lighter shades of dance to bridge the gap, whilst Mahmut Orhan earns a call up after sterling sets at Sea Star and Sea Dance last year.
Punk also gets a look in, with Slaves bringing plenty of energy and Idles offering another injection of angst to the weekend. Throwing in Grave Diggers, Dog Eat Dog, Bombers and Asphyx adds heavy metal, rap and death metal as well, with further entries from the darker side of rock including The Hellfreaks, Noctiferia and Little Dead Bertha.
EXIT Festival takes place at Serbia’s Novi Sad from Thursday 12th July until Sunday 15th July.
