Floating Points will be given an entire night at Manchester’s Gorilla on Friday 20th April, with Zutekh and The Warehouse Project teaming up to put on the spectacle. Promising beautiful selections drawn from all across the globe, the night will be a perfect platform for the DJ to show why he is constantly booked as a headliner at audiophile bars, super clubs and festivals alike.
It’s been some time now since Sam Shepherd was first starting to gain recognition for his exceptional talents, vivacious digging and meticulous attention to detail. Classically trained, brought up on jazz and with a special interest in Brazilian music, he’s been one of the leading DJs in the recent globalisation of UK dancefloors, showing that it doesn’t have to have a quantized 4/4 beat to get a party popping. An accomplished composer as well, with debut album Eleania showing a subtly and grace that underpins his entire approach to music, Floating Points is quite rightly a DJ of the highest regard.
General sale tickets on sale at 9am on Thursday 15th March.
