New Year’s Eve parties at Canal Mills are part of the furniture in Leeds’ clubbing scene, and the warehouse venue will see in the new year once again this year with Hannah Wants, Danny Howard, GotSome and more starring. Running from 9:30pm on Sunday 31st December all the way through to 5:30am on the euphoric first morning of 2018, the party will bring together a mass of bodies to celebrate as one.
An undisputed star of 2017, house guru Hannah Wants brought bass-fuelled party starters to dancefloors across the world, quickly establishing herself as one of the best loved British DJs. A former professional footballer, the Brummie selector knows a thing or two about performing under pressure, taking even the biggest stages in her stride with Messi-esque control over her audience.
Another Brit whose sets have earned him mainstream success, Danny Howard is best known for his Dance Anthems show on BBC Radio 1, and has established himself as an Ibiza favourite since bursting onto the scene in 2011 with a victory in the BBC Radio 1 Superstar DJ challenge. A 2013 debut album proved popular, and a succession of singles since have only heightened his popularity. UK bass production duo GotSome are cut from similar cloth, whilst Sonny Fodera, Understate and a still secret room 2 lineup will ensure that 2018 gets off to a raucous start.
