Beaverworks is getting ready to host a massive day festival this summer, with HighRise set to return with a full 8 stages of music on Friday 2nd June. Marking the occasion in style with huge bookings including Gentleman’s Dub Club, Calibre and a very special grime b2b2b, not a single detail will be overlooked as HighRise look to make it one of Leeds’ biggest summer events of the 2017.
Featuring a total of more than 60 live bands and DJs, the HighRise Summer Day Festival will welcome the sledgehammer-esque Mungo’s Hifi, as well as stars of various shades of electronic music in Marcus Intalex, Prince Fatty & Horseman, Dubmatix & Charlie P and BPM label head Madam X. Already impressive as it is, the lineup is taken up another notch by the inclusion of Sir Spyro b2b Spooky b2b Chimpo ft Killa P, a combination sure to wreak absolute havoc as the the grime and drum and bass dream combine their powers to throw down the most powerful tracks in their armouries. A spectacle that will take some beating, the special b2b2b will be in good company with the Gentleman’s Dub Club army of noise makers and DnB virtuoso Calibre also headlining, as well as further sets from Solo Banton and Fox & Cluekid.
With more names still to be unveiled and other attractions like street food, art and the all-important summer treat of free watermelon lined up, this latest HighRise event is sure to be a fast-seller; if you want to secure a ticket there really is no time like the present.
