What drew you to the music industry?
I was into music from a very early age. My dad got me into learning how to play the piano at 5 yrs old.
Who are you inspired by?
To be honest I was probably most inspired by anything musically popular when I was growing up. Whether it be radio in the 80s, 90s, hip hop, ragga, rnb, they were my influences.
Is there one moment in your career that you feel defined you as a performer?
I’d say when I got on to Kool fm in Nov 95/96
Congrats on 25 years of being in the game! What can fans expect from your two shows at Fabric London and O2 Academy Bristol?
On these nights i'll be mainly trying to go through my musical journey in a night, playing with DJ’s from all the stages in my career playing Jungle to Drum n Bass.
What’s an average day like for you?
Get up, breakfast, gym, then usually working on music and recording vocals in my studio most days.
What is your favourite part about this line of work? Your least favourite? Why?
Favourite part would have to be all the different countries it's taken me too, least favourite part, the long journeys lol.
Tell us about your favourite performance venues
Westfest, Rampage and also New Years eve in New Zealand are a few of my fav events in recent times, to me they are just on another level in terms of capacity, vibes n energy.
What advice would you have for someone wanting to follow in your footsteps?
Stay original, stay consistent, be humble and work hard.
What future plans can we expect from you in 2019?
I've got a new record label just being launched, so lots of new music for sure and to keep pushing boundaries for D&B, taking it to the next level.
Before we leave you, is there a track or artist on your radar at the moment that you’d recommend checking out ahead of the festival season?
All my SaSaSaS team, each one of them is doing some great things right now with the music their making and involved in. Exciting times ahead.
