It’s starting to feel like the door at Southampton’s Junk will never stop revolving, with quality artists stepping through in quick succession every weekend. Continuing a season that has already welcomed the likes of Joy Orbison, Peggy Gou and Skream, Jane Fitz and Carl H are latest prime selectors to pack their bags for the south coast, playing at Junk on Saturday 10th March.
Co-founder of the cherished London party Night Moves, a festival known for representing the antithesis of commercial, soulless partying in the capital, Jane Fitz is one of those DJs that you know will create a special atmosphere each and every time. A resident at Freerotation whose escapades into the depths of old school house, techno and rave numbers makes her sets as mystifying as they are bumping, Fitz is an expert selector with decades of experience and an enviable collection of otherwise dormant beasts, stringing together spacey and psychedelic sets from often neglected sources. Joined by a like minded compiler of electro, acid, techno and house in Carl H, she’ll have a familiar presence at her side as Junk is treated to killer tunes from two true dance music aficionados.
