Leeds will receive a visit from Italian techno and house maestro Joseph Capriati on Thursday 13th April as he drops by for a stint at MiNT Club. Taking to the decks for local promoters system., Capriati can expect a memorable evening as he plays at a Leeds club event for the first time.
Having broken through in 2007 with releases on Naples labels Globox and Analytic Trail, Capriati has seen an eruption in popularity in the last decade, with further EPs and two albums for big-hitters like Drumcode. Rising from the Naples scene that has produced Marco Carola and Rino Cerrone, he was positioning himself behind decks from just 11 years old, and considers himself a DJ first, producer second despite having masterminded a pretty extensive list of tracks. Playing a show on average every three days, Capriati draws from a seemingly bottomless pool of energy to bring his Italian grooves to audiences across the world, and he’ll no doubt feel at home playing out under the famous MiNT disco panel.
System. are by now recognised as one of the city’s best bookers for house and techno, and so it’s no surprise that the MiNT mainstays are the ones responsible for finally getting Capriati in for a night in a club event. A previous guest of MiNT at the brand’s annual festival, he shouldn’t take long to acquaint himself with the party, so expect big things from the popular Neapolitan.
Tickets on sale 5pm Wednesday 1st March
