Oxford’s entertainment sphere will get a welcome new addition in October, with Junkyard Golf opening up to give the city a piece of the action that has been enjoyed by thousands upon thousands in London and Manchester.
Comprising of three 9-hole crazy golf courses, the oddball golf club is made of reclaimed material and objects, finding new purpose for a random assortment of throwaway items to prove that one man’s junk really is another man’s treasure. Creating a quirky setting for group fun with its five cocktail bars and plenty of nearby food outlets, Junkyard Golf will offer Oxford the perfect destination for an alternative night out at Westgate Shopping Centre.
The Junkyard Golf Clubs in Manchester and London have gone down a treat, with the Manchester one recently expanding and moving into a bigger venue to keep up with demand. Offering plenty of charm to go with the excitement of mini golf with no shortage of twists and turns, the golf clubs make use of bizarre props, neon lights and their all important cocktails, so it’s no wonder that Oxford’s turn to join in the fun is so hotly anticipated.
