Penn Fest in Amersham will welcome some huge acts to The Big Park in July, with Kaiser Chiefs, Manic Street Preachers, Feeder, Example, Roots Manuva and more set to star. Focussing on live music, the festival will also welcome Gabrielle Aplin, Starsailor, Lethal Bizzle and a whole bunch of other talents representing a broad range of genres.
British rock doesn’t get too much bigger than Leeds’ Kaiser Chiefs or Manic Street Preachers, with anthems galore shared between the two heavyweight bands. Known for their dancey take on indie, with stadium chant ready hooks, cheeky lyrics and energetic performances, Kaiser Chiefs have been one of Yorkshire’s most successful musical exports, making them a perfect fit for the coveted festival headline slots. Fondly known simply as “the Manics”, the Welsh alternative rock outfit are another of UK rock music’s smoking canons, having previously headlined Glastonbury, T in the Park, V Festival and more, won 11 NME Awards and topped the UK charts on multiple occasions.
Looking beyond the big two and the impressive names keep coming, with more indie from Feeder, Starsailor and Badly Drawn Boy, rap from Example, Lethal Bizzle and Roots Manuva, and an assortment of goodies from Gabrielle Aplin, Melanie C, Randall and Heartless Crew among others. Set to offer a little bit of everything to the Buckinghamshire crowd, Penn Fest will run on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st July.
