Detonate Festival will be treated to the full works from Kano this summer, as the grime star takes to the main stage with a full live show. Taking place over Friday 9th and Saturday 10th June 2017 from 11am to 11pm, the festival will return to Nottingham’s Colwick Country Park for another year of bass-fuelled mischief.
Already considered one of the godfathers of grime, Kano had a huge year in 2016, releasing fifth album Made In The Manor to critical acclaim and a number eight placing in the UK album charts. Taking home a MOBO Award and earning a nomination for the Mercury Prize, Kano was part of the grime relay team that took the genre to the very top level of mainstream British music, and will make a worthy headliner as Detonate return with their biggest event yet.
Kano will be joined on the main stage by Bugzy Malone as well as Wiley: Godfather feat Ghetts, President T and many more, whilst the likes of Camo & Krooked, Noisia and DJ Hype b2b Hazard will be in the Big Top arena. Dusky and Solardo star in the new Hidden Woodland arena whilst Pontoon Amphitheatre will host Redlight.
