It’s not often that London gets to compete with the marathon parties of Berlin or Ibiza, but Krankbrother have set about changing that as 2018 comes rolling in, organising a 24 hour long party at favourite dance spot Bloc. With a full day of music to curate they’ve spared no expense on the lineup either, with Hunee, Gerd Janson, Shanti Celeste and Mike Servito just a few of the names announced so far for what looks like a contender for the capital’s most outrageous NYE and NYD event.
New Year’s events should be special, and this intimate event certainly ticks that box. Running from 10pm on NYE and not stopping until 10pm on the first day of 2018, the party will give some spectacular selectors the chance to play extended sets on one of the biggest nights a DJ can play. Hunee, Mike Servito and Gerd Janson will be dealing in their usual blend of acid madness, disco obscurities and techno journeys, with the equally eclectic Leon Vynehall adding extra firepower to a stunning bill. Peach Disc head and musical fashionista Shanti Celeste also appears, surely keen to remind everyone of the outrageous talent that has made her one of the most exciting DJs in UK house and techno over the last few years, whilst Fort Romeau will bring his own introspective brand of melody-rife techno to the affair.
It doesn’t end there, either, with Amsterdam party specialist Tom Trago and Tuff City Kids also booked in. With London influencers Krankbrother also adding their flavour to an astonishing party of their own creation, this looks every bit befitting of the ultimate night for debauchery.
