Promising supper clubs, workshops, unique one-off events and numerous collaborations for food and drink lovers, Leeds Indie Food Festival have confirmed they will return to Leeds for another year of crowd-pleasing, forward-thinking events between 9th-27th May 2019.

This festival sees plenty of fab new events, with a celebratory feel for boasting the local community of independent businesses based in the current food and drinks scene, with a plentiful amount of the finest artisans showcasing what the city has to offer. Visit a festival-within-a-festival at Kirkstall Abbey - Feast & Fiesta - and experience a weekend of samba, face painting and carnival vibes not to be missed, or make your way over for a fabulous night of collaboration between Latitude Wine Tasting Rooms and Ox Club’s talented team of chefs, who will be creating a five-course pairing menu to showcase the best in matching wine with your dish. From wine pairing to beer pairing, family fun to sensual suppers, pop-ups to festivals, this year’s Leeds Indie Food has a wealth of diverse events to keep every palate happy!

LIF19 will also see a real focus on sustainability, with five special evenings from The Real Junk Food Project’s Rainbow Junktion, which will be serving up a fabulous five course meal followed by some serious food for thought, as discussions on Food Poverty, Ethical Food, Food Waste, and Healthy Foods/Food Fads follow the main meal event. All proceeds go to support Rainbow Junktion’s excellent food sustainability work in the community.

The Leeds Indie Food festival attracts over 25,000 people a year and that’s not even including the regular Eat North events that run through the summer. LIF19 passport holders get priority access to event tickets when they go on sale, as well as discounts on tickets, food, or drinks at the venues taking part in this year's festival.
