Levon Vincent will be stepping up behind the decks at Leeds’ Church on Saturday 25th February as he joins Dave Beers’ Back To Basics for a night of his signature pounding techno. Assisted by Basics residents Ralph Lawson and Denney, the American producer and DJ will look to lead a dark and trippy service as he plays at The Chapel for the very first time.
Playing at Chapel, the more intimate of Church’s two rooms, Vincent will be given license to take his audience on a mind-melting journey of relentless kicks, crashing percussion and psychedelic synths as he plays at the longest running club night that the UK can offer. Former head of More Music NY and now running Novel Sound, Vincent has self-released much of his bulky back catalogue of music, with further techno bombs for Ostgut Ton and Jus-Ed’s Underground Quality showing how respected the American is across both Europe and his homeland. He’ll fit in well with 2020:Vision head Ralph Lawson, a similarly legendary character, and should have no trouble leading a religious experience at The Chapel.
