Few rising stars have achieved the velocity that Peggy Gou has been travelling at over the past year or so, and with earworms like her new track "It Makes You Forget (Itgehane)" up her sleeve, Peggy doesn’t appear to be easing off on the accelerator in 2018 either. Possibly with her mind wandering to warmer climates as winter deepens, South Korean selector Gou has delivered a laid back house bubbler that could easily translate as a summer festival anthem, with its soft mallet hits and warm pads making for a breezy background to catchy vocals sung sweetly in her mother tongue. The first example of her new plan to incorporate her own singing into tracks, building on the spoken counting that appeared in 2016 stomper “Six o Six”, "It Makes You Forget (Itgehane)" is a fine piece of uplifting house with Gou’s signature melodicism and springy acid lines.
Peggy Gou has been lined up already for festival appearances at Terminal V in Edinburgh, Lost & Found in Malta and Hideout Festival Croatia.
