Being the daughter of legend Neneh Cherry means having some high expectations to live up to, but luckily for Mabel, 2018 seems to be her year, as she’s already bagged a Brit Award nomination and gained chart positions for her slew of singles. Similarly, emcee Not3s has been dominating the London grime scene following the release of his Take Not3s EP, and so their recent collaboration could just be an attempt at world (or chart) domination. Having already got together for track ‘Finders Keepers’, Mabel and Not3s return with another merge of sounds with brand new single ‘My Love’. It makes sense that a collaboration that sounds this good should continue, and the pair have now confirmed that more is on the way, teasing that the name of an upcoming joint EP could be ‘Nobel’, as a combination of both of their names. Listen to new track ‘My Lover’ below via Spotify.
Both Not3s and Mabel have very busy summers ahead of them as they’ll be heading to Parklife Festival which takes place across the weekend of Saturday 9th - Sunday 10th June, but before that they’ll head to Malta on the first weekend of May for the Annie Mac curated Lost and Found Festival. Friday 6th - Sunday 8th July then sees the R&B songstress and grime emcee taking to London’s sold out Wireless Festival. Not3s then will also perform at this year’s Detonate Festival in Nottingham, which happens at Colwick Country Park on Saturday 9th June.
