The legendary music venue KOKO in Camden, London proudly welcomes electronica producer Max Cooper to its stage this September. With the upcoming release of his highly-anticipated third studio album, One Hundred Billion Sparks, this Belfast-born artist is ready to showcase his out-of-the-box talents for one night only in the capital, where fans can trust they will be taken on an overwhelming journey of the senses and experience an audio-visual spectacle unlike any other.
With musical influences including the likes of Jon Hopkins, Nils Frahm and Sigur Rós, the sound behind Cooper’s work is best described as being sonically beautiful and intelligent ambient soundscapes with a combination of genre-specific elements such as downtempo rhythms and lo-fi basslines - alongside the occasional one or two hard-hitting club bangers.
Max Cooper’s latest project came as a result of isolating himself at a remote village in Wales, which allowed him to explore interesting new textures and find ways to express his emotions as an artist with a more mindful identity. The first single, ‘Hope’, is a dreamy masterpiece of minimalist beats and lucid pads that gives listeners a small peek into what they can expect from the forthcoming album.
Catch Max Cooper at Camden’s KOKO for a special live performance on Thursday 20th September.
