Having recently decided that his future lies in Amsterdam, Scottish selector Jasper James will be consolidating his relationship with local party starter Tom Trago through a trio of shows back on home soil, including a spell at Leeds’ MiNT Warehouse on Saturday 1st April. Starting up at former residence Phonox before moving through Yorkshire and finishing in his old home of Glasgow, James will use the three day spell to put in some extended bonding time with Dutchman Tom Trago, as well as the notorious Skream, who will join them in Leeds.
An impressive band of DJs to have in store, MiNT Warehouse will almost certainly serve up a ripe atmosphere for the visit, Jasper James having risen to become one of the most popular DJs to have popped up from the fertile grounds of Glasgow in recent years. A master of gritty warehouse techno and house but never afraid to throw a disco curveball into the mix, the Scot draws from a musical upbringing and the tutorage of both father Harri - a resident at Sub Club - and former housemate Jackmaster. Himself a talented producer, James is a good match for Tom Trago, who has been making the same sort of waves for some time since founding Voyage Direct in 2010.
Funnily enough, though James and Trago alone are probably enough to draw a pretty substantial crowd, MiNT have gone one better with the addition of dubstep pioneer and party specialist Skream as a special guest. A chaotic night lies ahead in the warehouse’s main room.
