Leeds party makers Limit will welcome the likes of Moscoman, James Zabiela and more to Wire over the next few months, with a couple of free nights at Distrikt alongside Traumer and some special guests thrown in for good measure. Following in the wake of exciting shows with Krywald and Farrer as well as Black Loops, the forthcoming parties will again demonstrate how Limit are hoping to be one of the key forces in the Leeds clubbing scene over the next few years.
First up comes a Berlin-based artist named Moscoman, whose musical upbringing in Tel Aviv has given his art a Middle Eastern flavour that few other dance curators can claim. As head of the excellent Disco Halal label, Moscoman has been behind releases stretching all the way from New Wave to techno, his rising stock also boosted by regular explorations from behind the decks. He’ll be joining Limit for “The Kiosk” on Wednesday 7th March.
A free party with Traumer at Distrikt follows on 11th April, before James Zabiela brings his expert mixing to Leeds in celebration of a rare recorded mix for the Balance Series, his first for quite some time. A technical master, Zabiela is one of the UK’s top talents with CDJs, and even holds a role as ambassador for Pioneer, regularly trying out their products and offering advice on how they can be improved. Incorporating loops, effects and live editing, his sets are nothing short of breathtaking, and off the back of a high profile mix you can be sure he’ll be on top form when he gets behind the decks on Wednesday 2nd May. A special guest for a free party at Distrikt on Wednesday 30th May is still to be announced.
