Bristol will be treated to a huge weekend at the end of February, with DJ EZ heading to Motion on Friday 23rd and Daniel Avery taking to The Marble Factory the very next day. Two A-league selectors with very different approaches to the dancefloor, they’ll provide plenty of choice for the discerning Bristol dance crowd.
Both considered to be among London’s best homegrown DJs, garage master DJ EZ and techno and electro star Daniel Avery have travelled near and far in recent years, their huge popularity taking them to clubbing meccas all over the world. Schooled during the golden age of UK garage and brought up on pirate radio, DJ EZ is by now considered one of the most technically gifted DJs around, drawing from a track collection that seemingly includes every great bit of garage ever to light up a club. A master on the CDJs, his dexterous mixing and high energy style has made him a favourite among festival goers and basement dwellers, making EZ one of the most EZily recognisable figures in underground dance music.
Less showy in his performance, Daniel Avery’s approach is more no-nonsense, hammering out sledgehammer techno and snarling acid like a man possessed. Effortlessly cool, he leads powerful but hypnotic adventures into the darker side of dance music, and has become one of the most popular techno DJs around ever since his debut LP Drone Logic exploded.
