EXIT Festival’s latest announcement is a bit of a corker, with Nina Kraviz, Nicole Moudaber and Rødhåd called up to join the lineup at the EXIT Dance Arena on Sunday 9th July. Known for its incredible sunrise and two-tier fortress enclosure, the Dance Arena is one of the most recognisable stages in Europe, and this year will provide the setting for Siberian selector Nina Kraviz to close up the festival on what looks to be a stunning final night of techno.
Few names in underground dance music are better for sparking conversation than Nina Kraviz’, the GALAXIID label head having worked tirelessly to refine her craft and entertain audiences across the world for many years. Searching the weirdest corners of the electronic music world for sonic diamonds, Nina has collected together one of the most consistently interesting sets of records you’ll find in any DJ’s house, with bizarre techno, house, acid and more stumbling out of the darkness every time she puts needle on wax. A resident at Cocoon in Ibiza, she’s one of the very best DJs in techno and a perfect fit for the EXIT finale.
Nina may have paved the way for the next generation of female techno DJs, and among that generation there are few more powerful than Nicole Moudaber. An understudy to Carl Cox, Moudaber has been a favourite performer at festivals all across the world, becoming one of the Ibiza circuit’s iconic figures along the way. Joined by an EXIT Festival newcomer in Rødhåd, she’ll lay down some fearfully strong tracks as she looks to shake the Serbian scene to its core, something that is second nature for Dystopian boss Rødhåd. It’s safe to say that EXIT Festival will not be going out with a whimper.
