Political activists Pussy Riot head to Bristol
The Russian band famed for their live music protests come to the UK
| Latest News

Pussy Riot come to The Marble Factory in Bristol this November. Known for their colourful balaclavas and entirely distinctive sound, the Russian native band caused international controversy after their unconventional and unexpected protests against Putin, the most famous of which took place in Moscow’s Cathedral, resulting in the arrest and imprisonment of two of their members.

Gaining worldwide notoriety, with huge names supporting the band and fighting for their freedom and a documentary on their experiences being made, Pussy Riot became one of the biggest names within the world of activism. Their no-nonsense music reignited the dwindling riot grrl scene of the 90s, with anthems such as, ‘Kill The Sexist’ and the latest protest song against Trump, ‘Make America Great Again’, which offer a commentary on current affairs like no other, with gritty political lyrics told with a tongue-in-cheek- sense of humour intact.

The activist band bring their unapologetic punk to The Marble Factory, Bristol on Saturday, 18th November.

Tickets go on sale Friday 14th July at 9am.
