Starting on the piano at the tender age of four, British singer-songwriter Rae Morris signed her first major record deal with Atlantic Records back in 2012 after drawing the attention of industry experts following an impressive festival performance on the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds Festival 2011. The Blackpool-born artist’s solo career quickly skyrocketed with opportunities that resulted in opening as the support for big names from the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, Lianne La Havas, Noah and the Whale, and Tom Odell. Morris released a number of prominent singles - including ‘Don’t Go’, ‘Do You Even Know?’ and ‘Closer’ - before revealing her critically-acclaimed 2015 debut album, Unguarded, which reached number nine on the UK Albums Chart.
With previous festival performances at Bestival, Glastonbury, Lytham Festival, T in the Park, and Truck Festival, and a portfolio of high-calibre features including ‘Up Again’ by Clean Bandit, the star confirmed her second album on February 2018 titled Someone Out There - that takes inspiration from her experience of falling in love with London art pop musician Fryars.
Rae Morris will be coming to O2 Ritz in Manchester on Friday 5th October.
