Having gained quite a bit of attention following the release of his 1993 EP, at the tender age of just eighteen rapper Wiki was quickly snapped up by XL Records, and a good job too - as the New York representative is now frequently spitting bars in his own distinctive manner, with his extensive debut full length release proving his skill and style. Growing up and taking inspiration from hip hop greats such as Nas, Notorious B.I.G and Wu-Tang - with his album No Mountains In Manhattan even featuring Ghostface Killah as a representative of the latter - as well as punk bands such as The Ramones, Wiki’s eclectic style of cut up hip hop beats underneath his nasal driven vocals is a true representation of his contrasting inspirations.
Wiki takes to Manchester’s Night and Day Cafe on Wednesday 11th April before taking to The Shipping Forecast in Liverpool on Friday 13th April as part of his debut Euro tour.
