Drum and bass icon Roni Size has been an enigma of the genre since bursting onto the scene over three decades ago. As the founding and pioneering member of Reprazent, a DnB collective well known for their innovative and influential sound, their debut album New Forms not only started a brand new version of the genre, with its reggae and jungle influences, but also gained the collective honour of winning the Mercury Music Prize. Having since released seven more albums, both with Reprazent and as a solo entity and iconic DnB DJ and producer, Roni Size is a figurehead of the genre. Now, he brings the album that gained his recognition to life once more as he heads to Birmingham, offering an audience the chance to hear the seminal record in full.
Roni size brings New Forms live to Birmingham’s O2 Institute on Saturday 24th February.
