Pioneering Drum & Bass producer Roni Size has been confirmed to appear live at this September’s Hospitality In The Park.
Taking centre stage on Saturday 23rd September, Roni Size will perform a live rendition of his seminal album New Forms which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
Returning to Finsbury Park, London, for its second edition, Hospitality In The Park rounds up the capital’s leading bass purveyors and selectors for a day long celebration of underground club culture.
Since its release in 1997, few drum & bass albums have been able to surpass New Forms for its cutting edge sensory soundscapes and seamless blend of live instrumentation and samples. With Hospitality In The Park as its backdrop, the New Forms live show should have no trouble evoking the record’s status as a seminal body of work, with the record still proving to be lightyears ahead of the times 20 years down the line from its initial release.
Roni Size’s appearance at this year’s festival is set to be a rare London exclusive, and will see the Bristol native reimagining the Mercury Prize winning album with the help of futuristic hardware and tantalizing live production which incorporates the use of pod 3D A/V effects.
