Run the Jewels have announced a world tour and come to Leeds this November. The duo, made up of Killer Mike and El-P, began as a one-off project for their first self-titled release, but following the 2013 album which was put online to download for free, the two were soon hailed as a superduo and soon evolved into one of the most influential hip hop collectives of the past decade. They’ve since released two further albums and performed at the likes of Coachella, SXSW and Glastonbury - the latter of which saw Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn introducing them. The pair also boast a long list of collaborators including jazz pioneer Kamasi Washington and Snoop Dogg.
Run the Jewels will be joined by their collaborator and friend Danny Brown following the drop of his fourth and most acclaimed album Atrocity Exhibition, finalising a stellar lineup showcasing some of the best that American hip hop has to offer.
Run the Jewels and Danny Brown head to Leeds O2 Academy on Wednesday, 15th November.
