Leeds party Sonic Sahara will return to Studio 24 alongside Trouble Finds Me on Friday 28th April, with Sassy J and Bosa supplying the music. Running 10pm until late at the Mabgate art space, the night will follow up previous Sonic Sahara collaborations which have included visits from London parties Rhythm Section and Feelings.
An esteemed selector whose club night Pathworks has enticed the likes of Theo Parrish, Floating Points, Moodymann and more to her hometown Bern, Switzerland, Sassy J is a cultured musician with plenty of know-how, pulling together all sorts of genres and styles to make sets that travel smoothly over twisting and turning paths. Aimed at the feet or straight to the soul, her tunes rarely fail to hit the mark, and it’ll be an exciting night for Leeds dancers as she brings Patchworks vibes to town.
Bosa will be Sassy’s accomplice on the night, and will serve up the kind of selections that have made MogaDisco one of London’s favourite globally-oriented parties. A specialist in sounds from the African continent, he’ll skip through highlife, Mbalax, funk and more as he transforms Studio 24 into his own lounge with the most highly prized gems of his record collection.
