The Heatwave to play last London show of the year

The Heatwave to play last London show of the year

Andrew Kemp | Latest News

Friday 24th November will see bashment collective The Heatwave take their Hot Wuk party to Electric Ballroom for a final show of 2017, promising another ode to Jamaica with their popular dancehall party. Running in London for over a decade, Hot Wuk has set the precedent for a nationwide peak in interest in Jamaican sounds and inspired copycat parties all over the country, so it’s no wonder that the latest Camden show is proving so popular.

The Heatwave have certainly played no small part in the recent resurgence of dancehall in the UK, with their energetic parties fuelled by classics of the genre as well as more obscure selections. Devoted to uncovering the very best in Jamaican music and offering it out to new crowds, the duo have earned a massive fanbase over their time throwing parties, and can now rely on their reputation alone to draw a crowd. Ending their autumn tour with the bout at Electric Ballroom, they’ll look to end 2017 on a high with another crazy night.
