Thundercat is scheduled to appear at Manchester’s Albert Hall on Wednesday 15th November, with a number of guests also set to appear on the night.
Rising to prominence as the brain behind the beats for artists such as Erykah Badu, Flying Lotus, Kamasi Washington and Kendrick Lamar, Thundercat has since turned the limelight on himself through a succession of releases that explore the expansive regions of the cosmic atmosphere. His fourth studio album Drunk, realised earlier in the year, further supported his claims to the modern throne of soul with a flurry of funk laden grooves and collaborations with Kenny Logins, Wiz Khalifa and Kendrick Lamar featuring throughout the abstract body of work.
Not only a musician with a Midas touch in the studio, Thundercat’s command of the four string and velvety tones come together to make his live performances as mesmeric as they are mystifying.
Be prepared for the Albert Hall to float through the stratosphere when Thundercat takes to the stage.
