Two creative geniuses have combined their musical minds to create a brand new single. Singer, songwriter, electronic producer and DJ Tom Misch can also add ‘collaborator’ to his long list of boasts as he’s created some jazz-style beats that are a perfect fit for London hip-hip hero Loyle Carner’s laid back and lo-fi bars in ‘Water Baby’. The single comes following previous partnerships with Carner’s ‘Damselfly’ featuring Misch’s sultry vocals and Tom’s track ‘Crazy Dream’ including some spoken word style emceeing from the soulful hip hop act. Further proving that they’re a match made in heaven with this new single, which combines some scattered jazz elements, bongo style beats as well as vocals from both acts, we hope this isn’t the last from this slew of combined sounds. Tom Misch will be performing at this year’s Parklife Festival on Saturday 9th June. Loyle Carner has a busy schedule ahead, headlining Saturday night at Leeds’ World Island alongside Nightmares on Wax, Yellow Days and more on May 26th. Native to London, Carner’s taking to Brockwell Park for Field Day on Friday 1st June, the rapper will then take to Croatia to headline the final ever Soundwave Festival between Thursday 26th and Tuesday 31st July.
