Not content with doing things the usual way, PBR Streetgang recently took part in a very special edition of Mixmag’s Lab sessions at the Coors Light Ice Cave Rave, providing heady house and cloudy disco at 2000 metres in Les Arcs. Blending their way through tracks by Gershon Jackson, Kiwi, Loleatta Holloway and more with use of their favoured Master Sounds rotary, the duo brought enough heat to worry the structure of the icy enclosure that housed them. Throwing in some thumpers from the PBR vaults for good measure, the mix is a perfect introduction to the disco-soaked house of which they are expert craftsmen.
The PBR Streetgang boys are going to be very busy over the next few months, with a spell in Croatia for Annie Mac’s Lost & Found Festival in mid-April before they return to base for The Garden Party in Leeds on Sunday 30th. Heading on into summer, a trip to Oxfordshire for Wilderness Festival will see them line up alongside Jackmaster, Nightmares On Wax, Grace Jones, Bonobo and First Aid Kit to name but a few, meaning there’s ample opportunity to catch them doing what they do best if you haven’t already.
