There have been few celebrities as starkly recognisable as model, singer and fashion icon Grace Jones, and you can now see a preview of a new documentary about her ahead of its release at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Filmed over the course of a decade, Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami will offer unique insight into the life of one of the stars of New York’s New Wave era, having given director Sophie Fiennes intimate access to the woman who brought the world "Pull Up to My Bumper", “Slave To The Rhythm” and countless other hits. Watch the teaser clip below.
Grace Jones will bring Wilderness Festival to a close on Sunday 6th August, but that won’t be the end of her festival season thanks to Dimensions Festival in Croatia, which has her booked in for its opening concert on Wednesday 30th August. Stepping up to the stage at the 2000 year old Pula Arena, Jones might have finally found a venue that’s nearly (though still not quite) as iconic as she is, and so the concert promises to provide an unforgettable start to one of Europe’s top music festivals.
