Kaluki and The Warehouse Project will be teaming up on Friday 9th February to bring Marco Carola to The Albert Hall, the man from Naples stepping in to deal out the very finest techno that he has in his armoury.
The Neapolitano scene has been churning out the high-end DJs for some years now, but back when it was in its infancy Marco Carola was one of the first to carry it out into the world. More than twenty years after helping develop the now rich scene in his hometown, Carola has asserted himself as one of the best respected artists in modern techno, with two decades of experience in front of the biggest crowds at all of the best party spots. Influential on labels including Design Music, Zenit and Do.Mi.No, Carola has earned himself releases all over the place, prolifically turning out quality dancefloor bombs in all manner of styles. Now penned in for a journey in one of Manchester’s finest venues, he’ll be fine-tuning his performance for a huge event backed by both WHP and Kaluki’s stamp of quality.
Given a substantial set in which to work his magic, there’s little doubt that Carola will want to go deep, venturing through various shades of groovy and pounding techno as he entertains the Manchester crowd. Always erring towards longer periods behind the decks, he loves to craft a narrative with his selections, subtly developing his soundscapes with a technically immaculate three-deck style of mixing. One of the great technicians of Italian techno, he’ll be leading a fine journey at Albert Hall.
