London’s Wireless Festival returns this July and brings with it a massive lineup. Friday night will see a headline performance exclusive to the UK from none other than Carolina rapper J.Cole. Since signing to Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation in ‘09, the emcee has gone on to produce for slew of huge artists, with Kendrick Lamar and Janet Jackson naming a few, yet it’s his own staple sound that makes this musician stand out, with latest release ‘4 Your Eyez Only’ showcasing his rhythmic flow over versatile beats that range from typical hip hop and RnB to jazz style arrangements. Saturday’s headline slot is taken by grime superstar Stormzy. Following the release of the rapper’s debut album Gang Signs and Prayers last year, the London emcee has become an unstoppable force, with this upcoming Saturday night performance being no exception to the artist’s skill in shutting down a stage. For the first ever time, Europe will see DJ Khaled and Friends finish off the weekend with a special performance on Sunday, and the calibre of friends DJ Khaled has in his phone book, it’s expected to be pretty special.
A versatile lineup that reads like a hip-hop hall of fame completes this first wave announcement for this year's Wireless. Hailing from the US, Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff make up trio Migos and the likes of Post Malone, French Montana, Rae Sremmurd, Lil Uzi Vert, ‘Gucci Gang’ rapper Lil Pump, Cardi B and more will be joining from across the pond. Representing the UK is afrobeat genre blender J Hus, funeral tempo bar-killer Giggs, MIST, MoStack, Hardy Caprio and more. See the full lineup announcement below.
