Indie rock trio from Tyne and Wear Little Comets will be playing a single date at Birmingham’s The Institute on Saturday the 7th of March 2015. Tickets on sale Wednesday 19th November 09:00am.
First forming in 2008, Little Comets were quickly signed to Columbia Records on which they released their debut album at the beginning of 2011. Titled ‘In Search of Elusive Little Comets’, the debut LP was a feel good ride of funky rhythm and guitar riffs as tight as an Italian tenor’s trousers. After receiving good reviews and climbing to the number 54 spot on the UK Album Chart, Little Comets went on to embark on a UK tour before their second album ‘Life Is Elsewhere’ hit the shelves in October of the following year.
Having been highly praised by several reputable figures in the music industry, such as Radio 1’s Huw Stevens, Sara Cox and Zane Lowe, Little Comets have had a successful number of years since their first releases, and this is now to be preceded by their new album ‘Hope Is Just A State Of Mind’. Due out in February next year, this LP is their third to date and is completely self produced, demonstrating their versatility as artists. We are yet to hear footage from the album but there is no doubt it will further into their eccentric and noticeably fresh journey through todays more danceable indie rock.
